2011 – 2012 Regional Officer Team Update

Posted on Sunday the 22nd of May, 2011 at 10:29 am

The 2011 – 2012 New England Regional Officers are ready to go! President Julie Larkin, Northern Vice President Steve Mason, Central Vice President Joe Assenza, and Southern Vice President Ashlynn Abbott attended their training this weekend, hosted by the Alpha Upsilon Alpha (Manchester Community College) chapter in Connecticut. The officers have come up with exceptional goals for the year, all focused on helping our New England members, advisers, and chapters succeed as Phi Theta Kappans and in their future academic, professional, and personal lives. We will be posting their goals and project plans in the next few days.

This year’s team is a great group that’s looking for more people to join in the fun and help the region serve you and your chapters through next March. We currently have two vacancies, both for the position of Officer-at-Large. Officers-at-Large support the president and vice presidents with completing regional projects, communicating with chapters, chairing events, and other fun tasks.

If you are interested in serving, you must contact Regional Coordinator Charles Mastrangelo as soon as possible for information on the requirements and how to run. We hope you’ll consider serving!

Congratulations to Our 2011-2012 Officers!

At our 2011 Regional Convention in Putney, Vermont, three new regional officers were elected. They are: President Julie Larkin of Alpha Upsilon Alpha, Southern Vice President Ashlynn Abbott of Alpha Upsilon Alpha, and Officer-at-Large Jason Tobin of Alpha Upsilon Mu. You can learn much more about them on the Meet the Officers page.

This means that we still have vacancies for the positions of Northern Vice President (ME/NH/VT), Central Vice President (MA), and Officer-at-Large. If you are interested in running, please contact Elections Chair Michelle Nickerson at michelle.nickerson@neptk.org as soon as possible. We hope many of you will consider running!
