Honors Program Committee Application Deadline

Faculty advisors who work in the Humanities may be eligible to run for the Humanities Representative seat on the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Program Committee, which is chaired by the Phi Theta Kappa Director of Honors Programs and is composed of Phi Theta Kappa regional coordinators, faculty advisors, and consultants. The Humanities Representative, History/Social Sciences Representative, and Science/Technology Representative on the Committee serve four-year terms. The Honors Study Topic Expert(s) serve two-year terms. Interested advisors must apply by June 2, 2008.

The committee is selected for its broad knowledge of international issues, its experience in coordinating college honors programs, and its balance in geography and academic disciplines. The committee contributes substantially to the development of the Honors Program Guide and to the ideas for presentations, speakers and field trips at the International Honors Institute. The Honors Program Committee also makes recommendations for speakers for the Faculty Scholar Conference and the Honors Satellite Seminar Series.
