The Akash Kuruvilla Memorial Scholarship is a national scholarship available to full-time undergraduate students, including those attending community and junior colleges. Applicant must submit a 750-word essay answering the question, “What does the phrase ‘The American Dream’ mean to you, and how do you embody ‘The American Dream’?” Candidates are expected to demonstrate their commitment to leadership, diversity, integrity, and academia, as well as show financial need through their FAFSA Student Aid Report.
Two scholarships, each valued at $1,000, will be awarded; a winner of each gender will be selected. A 500-word personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a copy of your academic transcript are also required. All applications must be postmarked by June 1, 2009.
