The 2007 New England Regional Leadership Conference, co-hosted by Alpha Kappa Mu (Bunker Hill Community College) and Alpha Kappa Upsilon (Massasoit Community College), will be held October 5-6 at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Workshops on subjects like Servant Leadership, Operation Green, the Five Star Program, the Honors Study Topic, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships, Civic Engagement, Membership Recruitment, and the Hallmark Awards will be offered for members; advisors will have their own special workshops. Additionally, there will be a special focus group to help determine what chapters, members, and advisors would like to see from the region.

On Friday night, we will be treated to a special keynote speaker and lots of fellowship with other members, including our special guest, Phi Theta Kappa International Division I Vice President Connie Myers. There will also be a “Phi Theta Kappa 101″ presentation that will give the history of the organization and the New England Region, as well as an overview of important programs you need to know about.

We are in the process of lining up more terrific speakers and facilitators to help make the 2007 Regional Leadership Conference one of our best regional events yet! Please check back soon for information on how to register to attend the Regional Leadership Conference, or contact Michelle Brinck at mbrinck@ncc.commnet.edu or (203) 857-7132.
